Final Additions to the DCS 2020 Cinema Technology Spotlight Series

DCS2020SpoltlightFinalAddsFollowing, are the final eight additions that will wrap up our DCS 2020 Cinema Technology Spotlight series. We hope that they have helped to fill the void left by the cancellation of this year's NAB in Las Vegas. The Convention will undoubtedly return, perhaps as soon as this Fall in New York City, and likely to Las Vegas next April, and DCS will be there reporting from the show floor.  In the meantime, you can find out about new products and technologies by watching our Spotlight series.  View the whole collection of 45 interviews by visiting our homepage, where they will remain throughout the year, or at this link:  www.digitalcinemasociety.org/3524-2

We learned a lot in the process and hope that when you view these interviews, you will as well.  We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our interview guests, our supporters, and especially the companies that helped us pull it all off.  AJA supplied the web interface gear including a U-tap to bring our Panasonic VariCam into the mix, as well as a K-Pro Ultra Plus which recorded multiple video and audio tracks to their super fast AJA Pak sold state drives.

Of course Frame.io was the glue that held the whole project together.  Michael Cioni helped us design a workflow to collaborate remotely and give each interview subject the ability to upload their own recordings and background content.  Another hero of the whole operation was our Editor, Christopher Scott Knell.  Chris pulled the disparate formats together into a cohesive timeline with the help of Adobe Premiere and did an outstanding job of delivering a polished finished product.
