DCS Congratulates ARRI, Canon, Fujinon, and Sony For Technical Emmy Awards

EmmyThe Television Academy has announced the recipients of the 69th Engineering Emmy Awards honoring developments in television technology. The honors will be bestowed at an awards gala on Wednesday evening, October 25, at the Loews Hollywood Hotel.

Farnsworth Corporate Achievement Award for contributions over time that have substantially impacted television technology and engineering.

 

 

 

ARRI ALEXA SXT WEngineering Emmy’s will also be awarded to ARRI for the development of their Alexa Camera System, as well as both Canon and Fujinon who each independently developed 4K field production zoom lenses for large sensor or super 35mm cameras.  Canon cine servo 50 1000mm

Among Canon lenses being recognized is their far-reaching CINE-SERVO 50-1000mm Zoom, the world’s longest 4K ultra-telephoto zoom lens

MathersCabrio1Meanwhile, Fujinon was being honored for the development of their Premier PL 19-90mm Cabrio zoom featuring a detachable servo drive unit for electronic zoom, focus and iris control.  The digital servo’s 16-bit encoding assures accuracy with support for Lens Data System (LDS) and /i Technology metadata formats.
